The Immigration and Population Growth (IPG) Branch of Labour, Skills and Immigration is pleased to announce the official relaunch of the International Graduate Entrepreneur and Entrepreneur streams as permanent programs, effective February 26, 2024.
To update these streams, the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration met with partners and carried out an internal evaluation. Together, these provided IPG with valuable information and recommendations to make the streams more efficient and relevant to the opportunities in Nova Scotia.

- Within HRM: 600K net worth, 150K investment;
- Outside HRM: 400K net worth, 100K investment;
- IPG can now issue Invitations to Apply (ITA's) to strategically chosen candidates, in support of key sectors;
- IPG will proactively work with partners who have a mandate to find potential buyers for existing businesses;
- The application process has been improved with the launch of a new, online application; and,
- Real estate development and construction businesses may now qualify under certain conditions, including the applicant’s ability to demonstrate that their business will provide a compelling benefit to the province.
